On Holle's birthday (5th March) we went to a Nocti Vagus, a dark restaurant. It was a great experience, but the food wasn't that great (probably because we couldn't see it - Holle said it was like how you hear what you want to by tuning in, and in some way you do the same with taste). We waited in the bar area and ordered what we wanted to drink with the meal as well as the meny we wanted. I chose a vegetarian surprise menu, and Holle took a fish menu.
We were then taken to a waiting room, the lights were switched off and our (blind) waitress took us by the hand (and the other hung on to the person in fronts shoulders for dear life) and led us to our table. It was PITCH black, honestly could not see a thing! Once we had started our meal (and I had eaten all the bread that went with the soup, thinking that Holle was happily tucking in as well - Doh!) another couple joined us at our table, sitting opposite us (we were sitting next to each other). We chatted away and got to know all about them (and tried to describe what we thought they looked like, me and my bad German continued to tell the guy he was fat...). Once we had finished eating and had tea, we were led out and then when the lights went on we got to see who we had been talking to - completely different to what we both thought. Funny that Holle and the other Woman (also about 22ish) got on okay in the restaurant, but when they saw each other were both heading for the exit asap! Classic.
So experience recommended!
